2013/14 Kits

Palmeiras 2014 adidas Third Jersey

Published on

Brazil’s Palmeiras continues to celebrate its centenary with the release of its 2014 third kit from longtime club outfitter adidas. The eight-time Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and 1999 Copa Libertadores champions launched their 2014 home and away jerseys earlier in the year.

The Palmeiras 2014 adidas third shirt uses a green base with a white chest band, adidas stripes and collar. Its design is based the kit worn by the team during its first ever Campeonato Paulista (São Paulo State Championship) season in 1916. The club was then known as Palestra Italia with a uniform in the colors of Italy in a nod to the team’s Italian-Brazilian roots.

The new Verdão (Big Green) jersey includes Palmeiras original badge which is the Cross of Savoy – the symbol of the House of Savoy which once ruled Italy. As with the team’s other centenary jerseys, the Palmeiras Centennial stamp appears on right breast area of the shirt.

The Palmeiras senior men’s team will debut their 2014 third uniform during Sunday’s Campeonato Paulista meeting with Criciúma in Santa Catarina.
