The newly released FC Copenhagen 2026/27 third jersey draws its inspiration from a public space in the Danish capital rather than from football. adidas has built the shirt around Superkilen, an urban park in the culturally diverse Nørrebro neighborhood, and in particular the section known as the Red Square. The kit will be worn during FC Copenhagen’s 2026/27 campaign in the Danish Superliga, Danish Cup and UEFA Conference League.

Superkilen is considered one of Copenhagen’s best-known public spaces, a place where sport, music and everyday city life overlap. The Red Square is recognisable by its red surfaces and geometric patterns. The park was conceived as an open-air world exhibition, gathering objects and cultural references from more than 60 countries to reflect the diversity of the area around it.
Danish art collective SUPERFLEX created the park in collaboration with Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) and landscape architects Topotek 1. It has since become an internationally recognized urban landmark and has appeared in architecture, design and travel publications around the world.
For the FC Copenhagen 2026/27 adidas third jersey, the Red Square’s visual identity has been translated into a combination of red tones, graphic lines and geometric patterns. Every shirt also carries its own unique details, an approach intended to reflect the individuality of the people who make up Copenhagen. The adidas design team took its cue from the thinking behind Superkilen: a shared space where different cultures and identities come together.
That idea also lines up with how the club sees itself. Known as Byens Hold, or the City’s Team, FC Copenhagen unites people from across the capital under one coat of arms, regardless of neighborhood or background. The FCK 2026/27 third kit connects that identity to a landmark built around the same sense of shared space.
