Palmeiras launched their 2014 away kit for the Campeonato Paulista (São Paulo State Championship), Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and Copa do Brasil seasons on Tuesday with modeling by former Brazil captain Lúcio.
The Palmeiras Centennial away jersey is in the club’s usual away white with gold adidas’ trademark stripes and a dark green v-neck and sleeve cuffs. The Palmeiras 2014 away kit uses a classic red club badge used when the team was called Palestra Italia from 1914 to 1942. The team established itself as a force in Brazilian football during this period by winning the 1920, 1926, 1927, 1932, 1933, 1934, 1936 and 1940 Campeonato Paulista titles along with the 1933 Torneio Rio-SP.
The Palmeiras 100th Anniversary adidas away kit is completed by green shorts and socks in white, green and red. Gold adidas stripes appear on the shorts and socks. The new kit may be worn for the first time in match action Ituano in Paulista action on February 19th.
