Werder Bremen 2025/26 hummel Third Kit

SV Werder Bremen and technical partner hummel have unveiled the team’s 2025/26 third kit, designed as a commemorative tribute to the club’s first-ever German league championship in 1965. Released to coincide with the 60th anniversary of this landmark achievement on May 8, 2025, the new jersey will feature in both Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal competitions during the upcoming season.

The distinctive dark-green 2025/26 third jersey incorporates copper accents that celebrate Werder Bremen’s storied history and accomplishments. The design includes a subtle nod to the 1965 championship on the collar, immortalizing this watershed moment for the club. A graduated color effect flows downward through the fabric, while the back of the jersey features retro-style numbering that echoes the aesthetic of the championship-winning team’s original kit.

Adding an authentic connection to the Werder Bremen’s history, the 25/26 third kit’s launch presentation included appearances by Günter Bernard and Hans Schulz, two surviving members of the 1965 championship squad. Their presence created a meaningful bridge between Werder Bremen’s past glories and the current generation of players who will wear this historically-inspired design.

The SV Werder Bremen men’s team will debut the 2025/26 hummel third kit in their home Bundesliga fixture against RB Leipzig this Saturday. The women’s squad will follow suit the next day, wearing the new jersey for the first time during their away match against SC Freiburg.
