Toronto FC 2023/24 adidas Third Jersey

One of the most exciting features of the 2023 MLS season is the introduction of adidas third jerseys for four selected teams, including Toronto FC. These jerseys are designed to reflect the local culture and identity of each club’s city, and to tell authentic stories that resonate with the fans and the community.

For Toronto FC, the choice was clear: to honor the vibrant and diverse Caribbean culture that is an integral part of the city and the club. That’s why the new Energy Kit is inspired by the Toronto Caribbean Carnival, one of the biggest and most colorful festivals in the world.

The Toronto Caribbean Carnival, or Carnival for short, is a celebration of Caribbean music, dance, art and cuisine that attracts millions of visitors every year. It showcases the rich heritage and diversity of the Caribbean diaspora in Toronto, and brings people together in a spirit of joy and unity.

The Toronto FC 2023 adidas Energy Kit captures the essence of Carnival by featuring a bright and bold color scheme that evokes the costumes and feathers of the masqueraders, or Mas Bands, who parade through the streets. The textured pattern on the jersey represents the movement and energy of the festival, while the “All For One” pillars on the jock tag highlight the values of solidarity and inclusion that define both Carnival and Toronto FC.

The shirt was unveiled to TFC players with a performance by masqueraders and a steel pan band provided by TCC, the organization behind Carnival. 

Toronto FC says that the 2023 Energy Kit is a tribute to the Caribbean community that has contributed so much to Toronto’s identity and vitality. It’s a way for TFC fans to show their pride and support for their team and their city. And it’s a statement of respect and appreciation for one of Toronto’s most iconic festivals.

“When I first saw the kit, I felt the rhythm right away, and it brought me back to the scenes of our Caribbean Carnival,” said TFC forward Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty. “I feel proud to see my culture represented within our Club and through the Energy Kit. I am excited to wear this kit and continue representing my culture on and off the field.”
