AFC Ajax 2021/22 adidas Home Kit

Reigning Dutch Eredivisie champions AFC Ajax’ 2021/22 adidas home kit brings returns to the look of some of the club’s classic kits of the 1960s and 1970.

The jersey features the unmistakable AFC Ajax wide red vertical stripe with white at its sides. The band is of a narrower width than on recent Ajax primary shirts to recreate a throwback look. Men’s team kit sponsor Ziggo agreed to reduce the size of their logo to fit within the stripe.

A classic AFC Ajax crest appears on the jersey and accompanying white shorts. It is partly on the red section of the kit as it was on classic club kits. The modern Ajax crest is printed on the inner neckline with three stars that recognize Ajax’ thirty-give Eredivisie titles above it.

Ajax 21/22 adidas kits worn for Eredivisise and KNVB Cup matches feature player numbers but no names to maintain the retro vibe. Player names will appear on UEFA Champions League jerseys because of tournament regulations however.
