River Plate 2019/20 adidas Away Jersey

South American club champions Club Atlético River Plate have unveiled their 2019/20 away kit from adidas Argentina.

The latest Los Millonarios (The Millionaires) alternate jersey celebrate the team’s longstanding relationship with Italy’s Torino FC.

Launched with the theme #EternaAmicizia, the River Plate 19/20 away jersey uses adidas’ new Striped 19 template. Its base color is Torino’s dark red.

The vertical and diagonal stripes on the front of the shirt are black. All of its other details are white along with its sponsor logos and player name and numbering.

The bull from the Torino FC crest appears at the bottom of the player numbers on the back of the kit.

River Plate and Torino establised close ties in 1949 following a plane crash in which 31 person associated with of the Italian team perished. River flew to Italy to meet a team of the best Italian players of the time. Proceeds from the match went to the families of victim of the Superga air disaster.

River Plate will debut their 2019/20 adidas away kit when they meet Mexico’s Chivas in a pre-season friendly in San Diego, CA on June 28th.
