FC Barcelona 2019 Chinese New Year Home Kit

FC Barcelona will wear special, one-off Chinese New Year version of their 2018/19 Nike home kit when they meet Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey semi-finals at the Nou Camp on Wednesday.

The European and Spanish powerhouse’s jerseys for El Clásico will features prints of Barca’s players’ names in Chinese characters just below their normal Roman alphabet name prints.

The move is part of FC Barcelona’s ongoing strategy to build its worldwide Chinese fanbase. The club will play pre-season matches in China this summer during an Asian tour.

The Chinese New Year was celebrated on February 5th, 2019. 2019 is the Year of the Pig.
