CR Flamengo 2017/18 adidas Home Kit

adidas Brasil today released the 2017/18 home kit for Rio de Janeiro giants Clube de Regatas do Flamengo.

Based on the club’s famous uniforms of the 1980s, the shirt has wide red and black horizontal stripes on its front and back. Its sleeves, waistline, collar and adidas shoulder stripes are all black. The Flamengo 17/18 home kit uses a new adidas design that features a Henley-style collar with a two buttoned placket.

The shirt also features the three iconic adidas stripes on the shoulders. A print of the a vulture (Flamengo’s mascot) appears on the kit’s signoff area.

“The eighties are very special for Flamengo. The club had players like Zico, Junior, Tita and Adílio among many others. The wider stripes are reminiscent of the great titles and joy of that era. Undoubtedly, this is one of the most beautiful shirts in the history of Flamengo,” commented Luiz Gaspar, head of soccer for adidas Brasil.

The CR Flamengo 2017/18 adidas home uniform is completed with white shorts and red socks with white detailing. It will make its on the pitch debut when the Rubro-Negro (Scarlet-Black) hosts Universidad Católica on May 3rd in CONMEBOL Libertadores Bridgestone action.
