Yokohama F. Marinos 2017 adidas Kits

Three-time Japanese J1 League champions Yokohama F. Marinos have launched their 2017 home and away kit from adidas.

One of only two clubs to have competed in every J1 League season since it began in 1993, Yokohama F. Marinos’ new shirts feature new designs from adidas.

The club’s home shirt is in their traditional blue. Its concept is called “Speed of Tricolor” and based on the speed of play in modern soccer. The concept is the source of a speed-inspired graphic on the front, sleeves and shoulders on the crewneck jersey. The red and white of the City of Yokohama’s flag is represented via the color of the collar, sleeve cuffs and adidas striping on the kit.

Yokohama F. Marinos’ 2017 adidas away kit is mainly white with a band on it mid-front in several shades of blue. The adidas shoulder stripes and logo on the shirt are in dark blue. The Marinos say that the design was created to make the jersey fit for everyday casual use.

Tenth placed finishers in the J1 League in 2016, Yokohama F. Marinos open their 2017 season against Urawa Red Diamonds on February 24th at Nissan Stadium.
