Palmeiras 2016/17 adidas Home Kit

Reigning Copa do Brasil champions Palmeiras today unveiled their 2016/17 adidas home kit.

The new Verdão (Big Green) primary jersey features a brand new look for the eight-time Campeonato Brasileiro Série A winners in that it uses two shades of green. The darker green of the shirt is its base color. The lighter green is incorporated onto the kit by a single stripe on its front and on its sleeves.

The phrase “Alviverde Imponent” from the Palmeiras club hymn is printed on the new kit’s inside neckline in a tribute to the team’s over seventeen million fans. Red and white sleeve cuffs pay homage to Palmeiras’ roots in São Paulo’s Italian community of the early 1900s. White side stripes and a white collar match with the accompanying shorts. The uniform is completed by green socks.

Palmeiras will debut their 16/17 adidas home kit on May 14 when they meet Atlético Paranaense at Allianz Parque in the opening round of the 2016 Brasileirão. It is expect to be available at World Soccer Shop, Subside Sports and UK Soccer Shop.
