The Norges Fotballforbund (Norwegian Football Association) and Nike have launched the Norway 2016/17 home and away kits. They will be worn by the Norwegian men’s and women’s national teams over the next year.
The vivid red Norway 2016/17 Nike home shirt and white home shorts with navy blue trim reference the national flag while the all-white away kit nods to tradition. A further ode to national pride, the word “Norge” (Norway) appears on shirts’ back collars and the Norwegian Football Association’s gold-trimmed crest appears on the chest.
The sides of both kits feature navy blue stripes that run the length of the shirt and shorts. The stripes expand when the nits wearers are in motion to increase ventilation and reveal flashes of underlying white. In the home kit, white socks showcase a linear blue graphic on the calf while the away kit’s socks are navy blue.
The Norway men’s senior national team debuted their 16/17 home uniform in a 0-0 international friendly draw with Estonia on Thursday. The country’s men’s Under-21 team wore the kit during Friday’s 1-0 loss to the Netherlands.
