Newell’s Old Boys 2014 Topper Commemorative Jersey

Lionel Messi’s youth team Club Atlético Newell’s Old Boys have launched a limited edition kit from Topper to commemorate the tenth anniversary of forty thousand of their fans traveling to Avellaneda to witness them win the Argentine Primera Apertura 2004 title.

The Newell’s Old Boys 2014 commemorative jersey is all red and matched with black shorts and red socks. The colorway was inspired by the ambience of the club’s Estadio Marcelo Bielsa. A specially designed patch that reads ‘40 Mil Hinchas de Visitante’ (40 Thousand Visiting Fans) is embroidered on the right breast of the shirt. The inside back collar of the kit features the phrase “ROSARIO EN EL MUNDO” (Rosario in the World).

Currently featuring former Atlético Madrid, Liverpool and Argentina midfielder Maxi Rodriguez, Newell’s are in seventh place in the Primera table The six time domestic champions released their 2014 home and away uniforms in March.
