Primera División Peruana powerhouse Club Alianza Lima released the latest version of their now annual “Blanquimorada” (White and Purple) kit last week.
The twenty-three time Peruvian league champions will wear the purple and white striped jersey for all of their matches during the month of October. This is an over fifty year tradition of Alianza in celebration of El Señor de los Milagros or Lord of Miracles.
The 2014 Alianza Lima Blanquimorada shirt uses the same Nike design as the team’s 2014 home jersey with their customary dark blue stripes replaced by purple. It was worn for the first time during Thrusday evening’s 2-0 Primera win over San Simón.
