After wearing kits from hummel and PUMA over the past half a decade, the Sierra Leone national team is now outfitted by little known sportswear company AMS (African Manufacturing Solutions). The Leone Stars debuted their first AMS strips in the form of the 2014/15 home and away uniforms during 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers earlier this month.
The Sierra Leone 2014/15 home jersey (now available at Subside Sports) is in the team’s traditional green with white accenting.
The blue of the West African nation’s flag runs across the mid-front of the shirt as a band bordered by white. The away kit is all blue with white in the collar and sleeve areas. Like the home kit, it uses a Y-shaped collar. It is punctuated with a series of African-inspired shapes on its front.
Ranked 75th in the world by FIFA, the Leone Stars have never qualified for a World Cup. Their last appearance in Africa Cup of Nations came in 1996 when they featured former Inter Milan and AS Monaco forward Mohamed Kallon.
