Santos FC 2014/15 Nike Away Kit

Rumored to be in talks with Under Armour about kit deal, well-supported Brazilian side Santos Futebol Clube unveiled their 2014/15 away jersey on Monday night.

The new alternate shirt was launched at an invitation-only event at Vila Madalena in São Paulo. Several of the club’s former players (including Mengálvio, Pepe, Gilberto Smile and Jamelli) were on had to model the new kit. Hip hop star Mano Brown from the group Racionais MCs also made an appearance for the occasion.

The Santos FC 2014/15 Nike away jersey uses the team’s traditional black and white road stripes. The kit’s design is inspired by the Santos road shirt worn in the championship match of the 1984 Campeonato Paulista (Sao Paulo State Championship) against city rivals Corinthians. The ensuing victory gave Santos their fifteenth state title.

Santos will debut their 14/15 away kit at the Pernambuco Arena on Wednesday when Robinho and the rest of the team meet Sport Recife in league action. Look out for the jersey at the Subside Sports and UK Soccer Shop Brazilian club stores.
