Faroe Islands 2014/16 adidas Home and Away Kits

The Faroe Islands kicked off their EURO 2016 qualification run with a 1-3 home loss to Scandinavian rivals Finland on Sunday. Here is a look at the adidas home and away kits that the modest European side will wear during the 2014/16 international football period.

Released by the Faroe Islands Football Association (Faroese: Fótbóltssamband Føroya) this summer, the Faroe Island 2014/16 adidas match range features a home shirt in white with blue flashes and an away jersey in blue with white accents. They both use the adidas Tiro 13 design with relatively large sleeves an a modern collar highlighted by a chevron.

The contrasting color blocks on the kits’ sleeves continue onto their side panels. The Faroe Islands national flag is printed on the outside upper back of the new shirts.

Somewhat improved in recent times, the Faroe Islands have won a total of nine matches in UEFA EURO and World Cup qualification since joining the association in 1979.
