Among one of the first new national team jerseys launched by Nike last November, the France 2014/15 home kit will grace the fields of Brasil 2014 when Les Bleus meet Switzerland, Ecuador and Honduras in the group stage of World Cup.
Called the France 2014 Stadium jersey by Nike, the dark blue, denim-inspired shirt is a replica designed for fans as opposed to the more technically advanced and slim-fitting player issue kit.
The new Les Bleus replica shirt is made with sweat-wicking fabric for lightweight comfort. It features a classic FFF team crest (based on that used by the French in 1958) on the left chest in metallic thread to proudly celebrate a team currently featuring the likes of Franck Ribéry, Karim Benzema and Olivier Giroud. It is highlighted with a classic foldover collar and bonded button placket for a modern look and feel. A pennant in the colors of the French national flag appears on the inside neck area of the jersey.
Though relatively simple in design compared to many of the other recent football kit releases, the France 2014 World Cup jersey has a look makes it suited for a variety of uses – from the terraces to the pickup soccer scene to even business casual office environments. Also since it is not as tight-fitting as new authentic kits (so designed to support the muscles of world-class athletes) that we’ve look at, the extra room that the new France Stadium shirt provides is more accommodating of a variety of physiques.
The France 2014/15 Nike home jersey is now available in the soccerloco France World Cup Shop along with a host of other gear that will be on show in Brazil this summer.
