Algeria 2014 World Cup PUMA Home and Away Kits

Algeria caused a stir during their first World Cup appearance in 1982 when they defeated then European champions West Germany 2-1. The Fennec Foxes will be back on the world stage this summer when they meet Belgium, Russia and South Korea at Brasil 2014.

Fédération algérienne de football and technical partner PUMA launched the Algeria 2014 World Cup home and away kits last week. Then Algerian squad debuted the all white home kit on the pitch om March 5th in a 2-0 international friendly win over Slovenia in Bilda. Both will be available at  World Soccer ShopSubside Sports and Kitbag.

 

PUMA describes the white home shirt as a classic and minimalistic design silhouette with green collar and sleeve inserts which represent the green from the Algerian flag. The federation badge and national emblem are both featured on the chest. The sway jersey uses the same PUMA kit design in a light shade of green.

  

Algeria is currently ranked 26th in the world and 2nd in Africa by FIFA. The team features a mainly European-based lineup that includes Tottenham Hotspur revelation Nabil Bentaleb and Inter Milan’s Saphir Taïder. Many members of the team were born in France and have represented France at the junior levels of football.
