After one season in Brazilian second tier of football, Palmeiras will return to the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A for 2014 after earning promotion from Série B on Saturday.
Before yesterday’s 0-0 draw with São Caetano, Palmeiras kicked off their centenary celebrations with the launch of the 2013/14 third kit from adidas Brasil.
Available soon at Subside Sports, the 1999 Copa Libertadores and eight-time Brazilian champions new alternate kit pays homage to the Brazilian national team through the use of the Seleção’s famed yellow shirt with green accents and blue shorts.
A classic Palmeiras badge appears on the inside neck area of the jersey along with the years of the club’s existence (1914-2014) and the text PATRIA AMADA PALMEIRAS (Beloved Homeland Palmeiras).
The outfield player kit is accompanied by a dark blue goalkeeper shirt with an enlarged version of Palmeiras’ badge on its mid-front area.
The Palmeiras 2013/14 adidas third kit is the fourth released by the Verdão (Big Green) in 2013. It follows the releases of club’s 2013 home, away and 99th Anniversary jerseys in May and August. adidas Originals also launched a Palmieras retro shirt last month.
