As they seek their first 2013 Rugby Championship win, the Pumas, Argentina’s national rugby team, has unveiled their Nike away kit for the competition formerly know as the Tri Nations. Its releases follows that of the Argentina 2013 Rugby Championship Nike home jersey in July.
According to Nike: Nike launches the Pumas’ new away jersey on occasion of the team’s participation at the second edition of the Rugby Championship, during an event this afternoon at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Perth, with participation of some of the Pumas players, such as Juan Hernández, Juan Leguizamón, Martín Landajo, and Juan Imhoff among others. Also The Pumas´ captain, Juan Martín Fernández Lobbe attended.
The away jersey features Nike’s highest technology applied to rugby. Nike Dri-FIT technology allows the evaporation of perspiration, thus players stay dry and comfortable longer. Its stretch fit and the elasticity of the fabric offers a tighter fit and freedom of movement.
The silicone strap on the inside of the lower area prevents the jersey from bunching up, allowing the player to focus on the game.
The dark blue jersey is finished with a subtle puma print and the team’s crest logo on the upper left, which is heat-applied to eliminate seams and prevent it from chafing against the skin. On the back, the iconic sun of the Argentine flag symbolizes the team’s patriotism. Matching shorts and socks complete the kit.
