The Argentina Nike 2012/13 rugby home kit was unveiled at the Vineyard Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa on Thursday ahead of the team’s 2012 Rugby Championship meeting with the Springboks on Saturday. It will be available at World Rugby Shop, Kitbag Rugby and Lovell Rugby.
According to Nike: The new Nike jersey highlights the core values associated with the Pumas team: nationalism, teamwork and pride. The new jersey uses Nike’s most advanced technology specifically applied to rugby, a first for the Argentinean kit. Nike Dri-FIT technology allows the players to stay dry and comfortable longer. A silicone strap on the inside of the lower area prevents the jersey from bunching up at the waist, allowing the player to focus on the game…
Nike announced its sponsorship in March, signing an agreement with the Argentine Rugby Union (UAR) to become the sports sponsor of Pumas, Pampas XV, Jaguares, Pumas Seven and Pumitas. Nike followed the announcement by presenting a new uniform for the Pampas XV, the team representing young Argentine talent. The new kit reflects the team’s brave and strong identity both locally and internationally.
