Olympique Marseille adidas 2012/13 Away Kit

Reigning French Coupe de la Ligue champions Olympique Marseille have followed the May releases of their new home and third kits with that of their 2012/13 adidas away kit. It is expected to be worn by L’OM when they travel to Sion, Switzerland to meet Benfica on July 13th and will be available at World Soccer Shop.

The Olympique Marseille 12/13 away kit uses several elements of the club’s history in its design.

It features the club’s 1970’s badge when the likes of Magnusson, Skoblar and Bonnel led OM to two Ligue 1 and two Coupe de France titles.

The light blue, v-neck design of the kit is inspired by that worn by Marseille in the early 1990s when Papin, Waddle, Amoros and others impressed in the club’s 1992/93 UEFA Champions League and three consecutive league titles from 1989 to 1992.

The French national colors feature on the 12/13 Olympique Marseille away shirt’s neck and sleeve cuffs in recognition of the fact that the club is one of the most popular in France.
