Video: Manchester United 3 – Manchester City 2 (English FA Community Shield Highlights)

Manchester United defeated Manchester City 3-2 in a thrilling match to win the 2011 English FA Community Shield on Sunday.

United found themselves down 2-0 at halftime despite having the better of possession on Joleon Lescott’s header in the 38th and Edin Dzeko’s long range driver in the 46th.

The defending English Premier League champions got well-deserved goal via defender Chris Smalling’s tap in of Ashley Young’s free kick in the 52nd before Nani equalized in the 58th. With the match seemingly heading to a penalty shootout, Nani robbed City’s Vincent Kompany of the ball at midfield and proceeded to elude goalkeeper Joe Hart for the winner.
