Athletic Bilbao Umbro 2011/12 Away Jersey / Camiseta

Spanish La Liga stalwarts and eight time league champions Athletic Club de Bilbao have presented their Umbro away kit for the 2011/12 season. Using a Tailored by Umbro theme, the kit presentation took place earlier today at the club’s Sala Recalde de Bilbao.

The Athletic Bilbao Umbro 2011/12 away jersey pays homage to la ‘ikurriña’ (the flag of the Euskadi or Basque region of Spain) by prominently featuring its colors of green, red and white. The Basque Country Astore 2011 home kit features a similar color scheme.

Gorka Iraizoz, Andoni Iraola, Pablo Orbaiz, David López, Iker Muniain and Fernando Llorente of the Athletic Bilbao men’s team and Irai, Tzibi and Paula from the club’s women’s team were on hand for the kit presentation. The new shirt will be worn for the first time on May 1st when Bilbao meets RCD Espanyol in La Liga action.
