Venezuela adidas Copa America 2011 Home Kit / Camiseta

Currently on the rise in the pyramid of South Amercian soccer, Venezuela has notched a series of credible results over their last two World Cup qualification campaigns including ties with Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay. Nicknamed El Vinotino (the Red Wine), Venezuela is currently ranked number 63rd in the FIFA World Rankings.

Earlier today, the Federación Venezolana de Fútbol officially launched the Venezuela adidas 2011/12 home kit (now available at World Soccer Shop). The new Venezuela jersey will act as the team’s primary kit for July’s Copa America 2011 tournament and its 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers through 2012.

On hand to model the new kit were current Venezuela internationals Ángel Chourio, Franklin Lucena and Giovanny Romero. It uses a brand new adidas design seen for the first time earlier this week with the IFK Göteborg adidas 2011 away jersey.

The Venezuela adidas 2011/12 home jersey will see action in competition for the first time on March 16th in San Juan when the Vinotinto meets Copa America 2011 hosts Argentina in San Juan in a friendly.
