Video: Mexico 4 –El Salvador 1 (CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying Highlights)

Yesterday at Mexico City’s Azteca Stadium, 36-year old players Cuauhtemoc Blanco and Francisco Palencia scored along with Carlos Vega scored to give El Tri a 4-1 win against El Salvador. The win guaranteed the hosts a spot in the FIFA World Cup 2010 finals in South Africa.

El Salvador’s Marvin Gonzalez’s own goal had put the hosts ahead in the 25th minute before  Blanco (71st minute), Palencia (84th minute) and Vega (90th) added their goals.

Kick-off for the match was delayed for 10 minutes because of an omnious swarm of bees around the El Salvador goal.
