Canada’s men’s national soccer team was eliminated from the CONCACAF Gold Cup last night in a 0-1 defeat to Honduras in the quarter-final stage of the tournament. Honduras’ lone goal came from a Walter Martinez penalty in the 36th minute following what referee Joel Aguilar had deemed a Paul Stalteri foul on the player.
Honduras will now play the USA in the semi-final stage on 23 July in Chicago, IL.
