Liverpool FC have revealed their 2026/27 third kit, and adidas has built the design around one of the club’s most enduring images: the atmosphere of European nights at Anfield.
Rather than opting for a bright or unconventional color, as third kits often do, this release takes a more restrained route, using a black base to reflect the mood supporters create under the floodlights on the club’s biggest European occasions.
The new Liverpool 2026/27 jersey combines that black foundation with maroon detailing and matte silver accents, a color combination chosen specifically to nod to the tension and color of a major European night at Anfield.
The palette is understated rather than eye-catching, with the maroon and silver working as accents rather than dominant features, letting the black base carry the design. Texture plays a significant role too. A subtle all-over graphic runs across the shirt, adding movement without becoming the focal point.
According to Liverpool, the pattern draws on the collective energy generated by supporters in the stands, translating that atmosphere into a design detail that’s felt more than seen at a distance, and only really reveals itself up close.
Branding across the shirt has been finished in metallic silver against the black base. The Liver bird crest, the adidas logo, and the player name and number all share the same silver finish, giving the kit a consistent, tonal look rather than contrasting elements competing for attention. adidas’s three stripes run across the shoulders in their familiar position. Black shorts and socks complete the outfit, both carrying coordinating silver detailing that ties the full kit together.
The 2026/27 Liverpool third kit will be worn throughout the club’s campaign across the Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup and UEFA Champions League.
