Manchester City and PUMA have officially unveiled the club’s 2026/27 third kit, marking a landmark moment in professional football kit design.

For the first time in the sport’s history, supporters were granted direct creative influence to design an official third jersey using generative artificial intelligence. The final product represents the winning concept from a global initiative that brought fan ideas directly from digital prompts to the pitch.
The foundation of the Man City 2026/27 third kit originated through the PUMA AI Creator tool, which launched in December 2024. The custom platform enabled supporters without prior graphic design experience to turn written text prompts into customized jersey concepts within seconds.
Cityzens across more than 200 countries engaged with the tool, producing over 180,000 unique submissions that ranged from modern takes on classic retro aesthetic patterns to unconventional modern concepts. The selection process relied heavily on community participation, accumulating over 1.7 million platform ratings to narrow down the entries. A shortlist of the ten most popular designs was presented for a final worldwide fan vote in January 2025.
Supporters globally selected the winning layout, resulting in an official Manchester City third jersey that was designed by a fan and selected by the collective supporter base.
The physical design of the Manchester City 2026/27 third shirt features a white base split by a prominent central two-tone sash that runs the full length of the top. The sash is divided down the middle into half sky blue and half navy, featuring a subtle gradient effect that shifts visually as it catches the light.
This third jersey will serve as a component of the team’s apparel lineup during Manchester City’s 2026/27 campaign, where it will be worn across matches in the Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, and UEFA Champions League.
