Newcastle United and adidas have released the club’s 2026/27 third kit, called “Fresh Lilac.” The jersey is set to be worn during Newcastle’s Premier League, EFL Cup, and FA Cup fixtures this season, in matches where the team’s home and away shirts are not suitable.

The design differs from purple kits the club has released previously, using a two-part color scheme rather than a single shade. A lighter lilac covers most of the shirt, with a darker purple appearing in the detailing, giving the jersey a monochromatic look built from the two tones.

adidas and Newcastle presented the 2026/27 third kit as a modern interpretation of the club’s identity, distinct from the color choices used in past releases, while aiming to preserve the connection between the club’s players and supporters.

On the back of the shirt’s neck is the club’s Magpie graphic, a design feature also used on Newcastle’s home and away kits for the 2026/27 season, tying the three jerseys together. The kit also includes deep purple shorts and lilac socks, matching the colors used on the shirt.

The Fresh Lilac kit was worn for the first time during Newcastle United’s preseason match against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday, marking the design’s on-field debut ahead of the 2026/27 season. With the release, Newcastle’s kit lineup for the season is complete, joining the previously released home and away shirts.
