Federación Colombiana de Futbol technical sponsor adidas has released a reissued version of Colombia’s 1990 World Cup home kit, recreating the jersey worn during what many consider the golden era of Colombian soccer. The reproduction marks a return to the iconic design that accompanied Colombia’s historic comeback to the FIFA World Cup in Italy after a 28-year absence from the tournament.
The reissued Colombia home jersey maintains the original 1990 design specifications, constructed from doubleknit fabric. The chest displays the FCF classic crest alongside the adidas Trefoil logo, with the signature 3-Stripes completing the traditional aesthetic.
True to its era, the jersey features an oversized fit characteristic of late 1980s to early 1990s sportswear design. The back includes classic block print numbering in red, featuring the number 10 worn by Carlos Valderrama, one of Colombia’s most recognizable players from that generation.
Colombia’s 1990 World Cup appearance in Italy featured a generation of players who would become legends of South American soccer. Carlos Valderrama, known for his distinctive playing style and appearance, led the squad alongside dynamic goalkeeper René Higuita and midfielder Freddy Rincón. The team helped establish Colombia as a competitive force in international football from the 1990s to today.
