Manchester City 2025/26 PUMA Away Kit

Manchester City Football Club, in collaboration with PUMA, has officially unveiled its away kit for the 2025/26 campaign.

Set to be worn during Manchester City’s matches in the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, EFL Cup, and FA Cup, the kit makes a significant nod to the club’s heritage while reflecting its ongoing spirit of innovation.

The 2025/26 alternate  jersey is inspired by Manchester City’s earliest-known kit, dating back to 1884 when the club was still based in the Gorton area of Manchester. At that time, the club’s kit was a defining symbol, marking the origins of what would grow into one of football’s most recognized teams.

The 2025/26 design reimagines this legacy through an all-black aesthetic, combining classic roots with modern elements.

The Man City 25/26 PUMA away shirt features a minimalist all-black base drawn from the historic 1884 kit, highlighted by a traditional collar with a refined white trim. Metallic silver accents, including the club’s crest and branding, energize the design and provide visual contrast, celebrating both the club’s past and its current stature.

Commenting on the significance of the kit, Manchester football historian Dr Gary James said: “It’s fantastic to see Manchester City reference the earliest-known kit in the Club’s history in the new Away kit for the 2025/26 season. The black shirt design is a respectful nod to City’s early years, a significant symbol of the Club’s origin story, and it is fitting to see that legacy honoured through a modern interpretation that reminds us all how far we’ve come.”
