Romania 2025/26 Joma Kits

Federația Română de Fotbal (The Romanian Football Federation) has officially launched its 2025/26 national team Joma kits under the concept “The Jersey That Makes Us Visible.” This launch marks the beginning of a new chapter for the “Generation of Soul” as they aim to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The timing is particularly significant as Romanian football is experiencing an upward trajectory following remarkable achievements: qualifying for Euro 2024 at the top of their group, delivering a spectacular performance at the tournament, and winning their Nations League group with maximum points.

The centerpiece of the Romania 2025/26 Joma kit collection is the traditional yellow home shirt, a symbol of Romanian football tradition and fan passion. Inspired by the iconic design worn during the 1994 World Cup—a defining moment in Romanian football history—the new design blends modern aesthetics with the symbolic power of the past.

The national tricolor is subtly highlighted through side stripes visible from any angle, emphasizing that national identity remains ever-present regardless of location. The dark blue and red alternate kits complete the collection, with both away uniforms featuring distinct designs that differ from the primary kit for the first time, further highlighting the tricolor when the team plays away from home.

The “Jersey That Makes Us Visible” campaign celebrates the courage of this generation of players who have earned respect on the field and from supporters through their determination and unity demonstrated both during matches and away from stadiums. Fans play an essential role in this story—the “Yellow Wall” in the stands during EURO 2024 and the spectacular images from Fan Zones proved that when Romanian supporters make themselves visible, the whole world watches.

The jersey design was created by Jean Popescu, a Romanian designer based in Copenhagen with a passion for football shirts and their stories. Popescu has been connecting young people with Romanian football history since 2020 through detailed articles about jersey culture and tradition. This isn’t his first collaboration with the Romanian Football Federation; in 2023, he created a dedicated font for the shirts inspired by the lines of Constantin Brâncuși’s famous “Endless Column” sculpture, which will also appear on the new equipment in a stylized form.

The launch of the Romania 2025/26 Joma kits marks the beginning of a journey toward the 2026 World Cup, hosted by the USA, Mexico, and Canada—the first two being countries that evoke memorable moments in Romanian football history.

The Romania men’s senior national team will debut their new kits during the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying matches and UEFA Nations League group stage fixtures. Starting with  a FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier Bosnia and Herzegovina on March 21 at the Arena Națională.
