New York City FC has officially revealed its adidas 2025 home jersey, the “Excelsior Kit,” coinciding with the club’s 10-year anniversary since its MLS debut. This new kit holds special significance as it represents the final opportunity for supporters to own merchandise featuring the club’s original badge before transitioning to the new emblem that will become the official mark on all NYCFC gear in the following season.

The New York City FC 2025 Excelsior Kit draws its design inspiration from New York City’s iconic skyline, with elements that reflect the steel-and-glass architecture that defines the city’s recognizable silhouette. The jersey’s design embodies the club’s ambitious spirit and unwavering energy, mirroring the same characteristics that have defined NYCFC throughout its first decade. The campaign imagery, shot at Edge in Hudson Yards, perfectly captures this connection by showcasing the breathtaking heights of the city skyline as a backdrop for the new kit.

To commemorate the club’s 10-year milestone, the NYCFC 2025 adidas home jersey will feature a special anniversary patch that players will wear during the home matches on March 8 and March 15 at Yankee Stadium. This limited-time addition highlights the significance of this anniversary season for both the club and its loyal fanbase. The promotional campaign for the new kit features midfielder Birk Risa, forward Alonso Martínez, Brooklyn-born defender Justin Haak, and includes a special appearance by Danny Laroche, NYCFC’s dedicated kitman who has been with the organization since its inaugural 2015 season.

The Excelsior Kit represents more than just a uniform; it symbolizes NYCFC’s journey since entering the league in 2015, during which the club has focused on developing young talent and expanding access to soccer throughout New York City. Additionally, the club has made substantial progress toward establishing a permanent home by breaking ground on New York City’s first soccer-specific stadium in Willets Point, Queens – a development that will further solidify the club’s presence in the metropolitan landscape.

Players will sport the New York City FC 2025 home Excelsior Kit throughout the 2025 season across all competitions, including MLS regular season matches, US Open Cup fixtures, and Leagues Cup tournaments.
