Record Dutch Eredivisie champions AFC Ajax and adidas have unveiled the club’s new away kit for the 2023/2024 season. The jersey features a white base with dark blue accents, including the stripes, logo, and three vertical Saint Andreas crosses.
The accompanying shorts are also dark blue, while Ajax’ 23/24 socks feature the turquoise/light pink pattern from the front of the shirt.
This is the first time since 1988/1989 that Ajax has had a white away kit. The club had a rich tradition of wearing white away shirts, but this was discontinued in the early 1990s due to rule changes that required away kits to have a contrasting color to teams’ home shirts.
However, since 2020/2021, the Eredivisie has allowed AFC Ajax to have a third kit. This has enabled the club to bring back a white away shirt for its 2023/24 league KNVB Cup, and UEFA Europa League campaigns.
