Well-supported Major League Soccer club Portland Timbers have released their adidas home jersey for their 2023 and 2024 seasons. It will be worn for the first time in match action during the former MLS Cup champions’ season opener against Sporting Kansas City next Monday.
According to the Timbers: The Timbers “Portland Plaid” kit features ponderosa, shadow green, and gold coming together in a plaid clad jersey to reflect the tight-knit relationship between the club and the community. In the club’s 16th jersey, Portland Plaid symbolizes kinship – we’re all cut from the same cloth and no matter where we come from, united in our love for the Timbers.
The club’s first-ever plaid jersey features gold trim detailing at the sleeve cuffs and collar, as well as adidas’ classic three stripes at the shoulder to bring the look back to the pitch. On the inside of the collar, a two-person crosscut saw—a symbol of teamwork—embraces the Timbers name. The jock tag showcases one of the club’s longest standing traditions – slices of the victory log, surrounded by the words “For the Rose City” and “Portland Timbers”.
The Portland Plaid jersey features adidas’ HEAT.RDY technology—breathable, moisture-wicking, 3D engineered fabric—and is crafted from recyclable materials. The shirt offers newly reimagined, engineered cooling areas to optimize comfort and performance.
