The LA Galaxy and adidas today unveiled the City of Dreams Kit ahead of the 2022 MLS Regular Season.
The City of Dreams Kit honors the clean, classic and elegant white kits of the Galaxy’s history with an LA twist to represent the City of Dreams and the City of Stars. The power and energy of the quasar represents the heart of the Galaxy and the dreamers, creators and innovators who make Los Angeles the best city in the world.
“We are thrilled to continue our longstanding relationship with Herbalife Nutrition by featuring them on our new primary kit and couldn’t ask for a better brand to represent our club and city”, said LA Galaxy President Chris Klein.
The jock tag of the jersey displays the phrase “Sólo Un LA”, which translates to “There’s only one LA.” Los Angeles is unparalleled in its uniqueness, diversity and creativity, making our city a trendsetter across the globe. On the back neck of the jersey lies the LA wordmark with the quasar. Club and city come together in a mark that ties the initials “LA,” used globally to refer to the City of Angels, to the quasar, which is the heart of a galaxy and generates tremendous light and energy. Additionally, the neck and sleeve on the jersey showcase interlocking quasars.
“We are excited to unveil the LA Galaxy City of Dreams Kit that will serve as our new primary kit for the next two seasons,” said LA Galaxy Chief Marketing Officer Doug Vosik. “This jersey design pays tribute to our history of Galaxy jerseys over the years, the city of Los Angeles and the fans that support this amazing club.”
Notably, Herbalife Nutrition enters its 16th consecutive season as the club’s jersey partner dating back to the 2007 MLS season.
Both the 2022 primary and secondary kits will again display five stars on the jersey to represent the LA Galaxy’s record five MLS Cups won in 2002, 2005, 2011, 2012 and 2014. Both kits will also feature the Herbalife Nutrition logo on the front of the jersey, and the logo of the LA Galaxy’s returning jersey sleeve partner, Honey, on the right sleeve. The Community Kit, unveiled in 2021, will return in 2022.
