adidas Argentina has reissued the home jersey worn by the 1985 and 1986 River Plate teams.
The jersey is a faithful recreation of the shirt that South American footballing greats such as Enzo Francéscoli (Uruguay) and Claudio Caniggia (Argentina) donned when the team won the 85/86 Primera División and the 1986 Copa Libertadorers and Intercontinental Cup titles.
The number 10 is printed on the back of the kit in a football kit font used during the mid-80s.
The adidas Originals Trefoil is placed on the left breast instead of on the right breast like in the first incarnation of the jersey.
The current version of the River crest is embroidered on the right. The 1985/86 badge was substantially different.
