CR Flamengo 2021/22 adidas Third Kit

Last season’s Campeonato Brasileiro Série A champions Clube de Regatas do Flamengo have released their 2021/22 third kit from adidas Brasil.

Like the Flamengo 21/22 home and away jersey the shirt celebrates the fortieth anniversary of the Rio de Janeiro club’s 1981 Intercontinental Cup (now the FIFA World Club Cup) and Copa Libertadores double.

The shirt uses a bespoke 1980s football kit-inspired design with a black base and bright red at its ribbed rounded neckline, adidas shoulder stripes and sleeve cuffs.

Three bands of an origami vulture sublimated printed run along the front and back of the shirt. It gives a Japanese-themed look to the CR Flamengo mascot to recognize the Tokyo venue in which the 1981 Intercontinental Cup was won.

“1981” is embroidered in gold on the jersey’s signoff area. The color is also used for the adidas logo and Flamengo crest on the kit’s chest.
