Kappa and AS Monaco have unveiled the home and away kits that the Monegasque players will wear during the 2021/2022 season. The launch occurred a few weeks after unveiling its new identity – built around the new “RISE. RISK. REPEAT.” slogan. The new ASM kits were showcased in a video featuring the players of the first team and the French Ligue 1 club’s academy along with rapper Krisy.
For their third consecutive season of collaboration, Kappa and the AS Monaco have teamed up to design these jerseys combining the brand’s DNA, elegance and technology, and also the history and identity of the club. The KOMBAT PRO 2022 jersey features Kappa’s Kombat Pro System technology that is synonymous with ultra-resistant, elastic and breathable material.
AS Monaco’s 2021/22 Kappa home jersey is built around the club’s famed diagonal red and white halves. A new shade of red called “tango red” is used on an ASM shirt for the first time. The diagonal, created by Princess Grace of Monaco 61 years ago, is now oriented at 55 ° on the front of the jersey only.
The Kappa Omini and AS Monaco crest are colored in white monochrome. The Monegasque crown is placed on the outside upper the back of the jersey. The classic round neck kit has “RISE.RISK.REPEAT.” printed on its inside neckline. Red shorts and white socks completed the AS Monaco 21/22 home uniform.
The anthracite gray used for the AS Monaco 2021/22 Kappa away kit is reminiscent of the color of carbon, a key material for Formula 1 cars. The color is combined with an all-over print of thin tone-on-tone 55° diagonals to create an unprecedented look of dynamism and depth. This kit refers to the idea of speed, elegance and “RISK.”.
ASM’s 21/22 alternate jersey has a crossed v-neck featuring a gray-red color combination which is also replicated on the sleeves and on the bottom rear part of the jersey. The shirt is matched with charcoal gray shorts and socks.
AS Monaco players Aleksandr Golovin, Wissam Ben Yedder, Aurélien Tchouameni and Krépin Diatta, Youssouf Fofana, Kevin Volland and Caio Henrique appeared in the club’s 2021/22 kit unveil video.
