Last season’s French Ligue 1 champions Lille OSC released their 2021/22 New Balance home kit on Thursday.
LOSC said that they and New Balance wanted to illustrate their championship state of mind through a new design with an urban look inspired by the emblematic places of the Lille.
La Citadelle was given special consideration. The result is what Lille OSC describes as a modern and elegant jersey dominated by an intense red and detailed in a metallic silver hue.
Lille OSC president Olivier Létang commented: “2020 was a particularly difficult year, but the love and support of the fans continued to inspire and motivate the players. The new home kit is sublime and for us it will be a special season to play as champions at Stade Pierre Mauroy. We hope fans enjoy these new colors and wear them with pride.”
Kenny Mccallum, General Manager ofNew Balance Football, added: “LOSC is one of the most promising teams in Europe at the moment. We see a real excitement when the Les Dogues play at home, and the jersey has become a cultural symbol for the youth of Lille. New Balance used this energy to create a unique home kit with a design to make it stand out both on the court and in the city. “
