New York City FC 2020/21 adidas ‘Gotham’ Away Kit

Jointly owned by City Football Group (parent company of Manchester City) and the New York Yankees, New York City FC has released their 2020/21 adidas away jersey.

Called ‘The Gotham Kit’, the latest NYC FC alternate shirt will be available at World Soccer Shop, Lovell Soccer, Pro:Direct Soccer, UK Soccer Shop and Kitbag.

According to New York City FC:

The NYCFC 2020-21 alternate jersey is an abstracted homage to the style and rhythm of New York City.

With its classic navy-and-white color scheme, the jersey is both modern and expressive, all while grounded in a rich history.

Like countless artists through the years, the front of the jersey is inspired by the landmark architecture of the Brooklyn Bridge, and the details borrow from design cues that dot the edges of New York Harbor.

The NYC monogram on the back collar completes this new kit, flanked on each side by five cables representing each borough in the colors of the city flag.

MLS Eastern Conference regular season table-toppers last season, New York City FC return to action on Thursday night when they meet Costa Rica’s San Carlos in CONCACAF Champions League action.
