Celtic FC 2019/20 New Balance Home Kit
New Balance has officially unveiled Celtic FC’s home jersey for theie 2019/20 Scottish Premiership, domestic cup and European campaigns at a live event with fans, in Glasgow, UK.
The Bhoys shirt’s iconic green and white hoops make up the body of the shirt and continue across the shoulders and sleeves. The polo-style collar is inspired by the Bhoys first ever strip back in 1888. The kit is launched as part of New Balance Football’s ‘On To Victory’ campaign for 2019/20. The campaign is inspired by a line from fan song, ‘Celtic, Celtic that’s the team for me’.
A star above the Club crest commemorates the Lisbon Lions’ European Cup victory in 1967, with a Celtic cross to the back neck of the shirt completing the design.
The Celtic FC 2019/20 New Balance elite jersey is designed for performance, with cutting-edge New Balance technology.
A bonded chest seam gives the jersey comfort, while a mesh structure across the shoulders increases breathability and airflow. NB Dry technology, embedded in the jersey, aids the moisture wicking process so players can focus on performing at the top of their game.
Athletic fit shorts with a step-change finish increase flexibility and movement. Green and white socks come with engineered cushioning areas and ventilation technology to keep players comfortable and dry during games.
The goalkeeper kit, which has been engineered in line with the outfield players’ strips, is phantom black.
Celtic FC captain Scott Brown, said: “The new jersey is a great, classic design with a special reference to the Club’s history. I’ll be wearing it with pride next season, as will the rest of the bhoys.”
New Balance Football General Manager Kenny McCallum added: “The green and white hoops of Celtic’s jersey are one of the iconic sights in football. We wanted to fully respect that here with a classic design that celebrates the Club’s heritage, while also incorporating the latest New Balance design technology.
