Mainz 05 2019 Lotto Carnival Kit

For the fifth year in a row German Bundesliga regulars 1. FSV Mainz 05 have launched a special edition Carnival (or Fastnacht ) kit celebrating their city’s annual pre-Lenten celeration.

Provided by Mainz 05 technical partner Lotto, the shirt revives the look of one of the club’s 1990s jerseys that has since become a cult classic.

Limited to just 1,111 units and on sale at the team’s stadium store, the Mainz 05 2019 Carnival jersey uses the same modern rounded neck design as their 2018/19 home kit. Similarities end there given the novel four-colored, checkered look of the jersey. The Carnival greeting of “HELAU” is printed on the upper back.

Mainz 05 main sponsor shirt sponsor Kömmerling has agreed to let the club use their seasonal motto “UNSER TRAUM LEBT” (OUR DREAM LIFE) in place of their logo on the kit.

The Carnival uniform is completed with blue shorts and four-colored hooped socks.

Mainz 05 will wear their 2019 Carnival kit when they host Bayer Leverkusen in Bundesliga action at the OPEL Arena on February 8.
