Western Sydney Wanderers 2018/19 Nike Home and Away Kits

Now managed by former Germany, Bayern Munich and Liverpool defender Markus Babbel, Western Sydney Wanderers have unveiled their 2018/19 Nike home and away kit.

The former AFC Champions League and Australian A-League champions will be back in action starting this weekend in their familiar home red and black stripes and away white.

Both jerseys use a rounded neck version of Nike’s Vapor kit template with side striping and rear collar trim.

The Western Sydney Wanderers 2018/19 home kit has a striped effect that includes two shades of red and a series of black vertical pinstripes that create a gradient effect across the torso. The only other current major club shirt using this design is Hertha Berlin’s new away jersey.

Centuria is the primary sponsor of the home shirt while JD Sports‘ logo adorns the front of the alternate jersey.

Western Sydney Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas said the evolution of the club’s partnership with JD Sports was a testament to our strong youth audience.

“JD Sports expansion into the Western Sydney market has been phenomenal and their place in youth sports culture is unquestionable,” said Tsatsimas.

“We are very excited to have JD Sports on our Away and highly anticipated new 3rd kit that we look forward to bringing to life with them and our foundation partner Nike very soon.”

Hilton Seskin, Head of JD Sports Australia said:

“We’ve established a significant footprint and customer base within Western Sydney, and the expanded Wanderers partnership reinforces our commitment to the local community,” said Seskin.

“From our entry into the marketplace, the Wanderers have been a fantastic support in helping to authenticate the JD brand and we’re excited to keep working with the club at an elevated level.”

“To be front of shirt of the away and much anticipated 3rd kit for the 2018/19 season is a fantastic moment for JD and WSW to partner on and we can’t wait to bring it to life along with other exciting activations for the best fans in the A-League.
