La Federación Peruana de Futbol (FPF) has switched technical partner to Ecuador’s Marathon Sports following the end of its deal with Umbro.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers will debut their new look 18/19 Marathon home kit during Thursday international friendly against a rebuilding Netherlands team.
The Peru 2018/19 home jersey uses a bespoke design from Marathon. The v-neck shirt uses the famous white base with a red sash of Peruvian primary kits through the decades. However, the sash is much wider than in recent editions of the jersey.
The sleeve that connects to the sash is also red in what may be a first for a Peru home kit. Red is also present via the shirt’s collar trim, shoulder stripes, upper back and sides. Two red stripes and laser cut holes detail the flanks along with mininature Peruvian flags.
The nickname of the Peru men’s national team, La Blanquirroja (The White and Red), is printed in white on the kit’s signoff area.
