New Balance has revealed the new 2018/2019 Lille OSC home, away and third kits. The kits have been launched as part of the ‘Defiant Spirit’ campaign, which reflects the team’s determination and approach to the new French Ligue 1 season.
The Lille OSC 18/19 kits have been engineered using innovative NB DRY technology. The jerseys wick moisture away from the skin to help keep players fresh and dry from first to final whistle.
Each kit features a tonal, repeat chevron pattern to the main body of the jersey, which is inspired by The Citadel of Lille, the man-made fortress that was built almost 350 years ago. The new kits celebrate the rich history that has helped to make Lille the city that it is today, whilst honoring the club’s classic look from the mid-1900s.
The LOSC 2018/19 home kit is a fresh evolution of last season’s design with the addition of the High Risk Red Marl fabric. The contrasting detail alongside the red marl features a Navy Blue stripe across the shoulders to the back of the sleeves. The jersey also features white top shoulder bonded tape, the new LOSC crest and wrapover V-neck collar. Les Dogues away kit is bright Hi-Lite Yellow with black collar and shoulder tape and the third kit is Grey Marl with High Risk Red accents.
The shorts complete the look of all three kits, featuring a concealed stretch fabric insert which also runs down the side of the shirt. The home kit shorts are True Navy, away kit shorts are Black and the third kit shorts are Grey Marl. The socks feature an elasticated ankle zone and rib Achilles region with cushioned protection.
An additional cushioned heel zone and vented cushioned footbed and toe section have been designed to help players play with power, comfort and extra support.
All three kits feature the fleur-de-lis to the external back neck of the jersey. This emblem celebrates the coat of arms of Lille, the city’s architecture and also its historic landmarks.
The goalkeeper shirts have been engineered in line with the outfield players’ jerseys, each featuring pattered sleeves and an embroidered logo and crest. The home goalkeepers kit is Black with Frost Grey, the away Vivid Cactus Green and the third Maldives Blue. All three kits feature a contrasting cuff to the lower sock.
Kenny McCallum, General Manager at New Balance Football said: “This year’s New Balance LOSC kit collection is really classic with key callouts to the city which we know the fans will love. It’s a stylish set of kits but one which will perform strongly on the pitch. We know that the players and the fans will wear the new kits with pride in the new season.”
