Southampton FC and Under Armour, the Club’s global athletic performance brand partner, have today revealed the Saints’ home and away kits for the 2018/2019 Premier League, EFL Cup and FA Cup seasons.
The Southampton 2018/19 Under Armour home kit sees the return of the club’s red and white iconic stripes, while the yellow and blue away combination pays homage to the club’s FA Cup winning season of 1975/76.
The home jersey features the Saints’ traditional red and white stripes, offset by smart black trim outlining both the Southampton FC badge and jersey sleeves. Plain black shorts and black and red socks compliment the jersey and complete the classic style.
The Southampton 18/19 UA away jersey design takes direct inspiration from the 1975/76 season, held forever in the hearts and minds of fans, as players including Paul Gilchrist, Peter Rodrigues and Bobby Stokes propelled Saints to victory in the FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium.
Indeed, the famous yellow and blue colourway combination pays homage to the club’s brilliant FA Cup winning side, with bold blue shoulder pads and strong trim that frame the main yellow panel, alongside match blue shorts and clean, simple yellow socks.
Designed in Under Armour’s Innovation Lab, the new jerseys have been developed to support player performance at the top level, incorporating both Under Armour’s four-way HeatGear® fabric and a Moisture Transport System, to provide unrivaled mobility and moisture wicking capabilities that allow players to stay dry even in the toughest of conditions.
