Germany 2018 World Cup adidas Away Kit

adidas has dropped Germany 2018 FIFA World Cup away kit. It will be worn by the defending world champions on Friday when they meet Spain in an international friendly in Düsseldorf.

The new “Die Mannschaft” (The Team) alternate jersey will be used in match action over the next year along with their 2018 World Cup home shirt.

Germany’s 2018 World Cup adidas away kit is a modern interpretation of the famous green 1990 World Cup away jersey worn in the semi-final versus England.

The graphic on the front takes inspiration from the pattern on the Germany home kit while a new collar execution with a two-fabric component construction incorporates the shirt’s graphic, along with the official “DIE MANNSCHAFT” wording on the back.

“Our home colours will always be white and black but I think we’ll definitely catch the eye with this away shirt,” said German international Julian Draxler on the new jersey.

The jagged pattern seen on the home kit is duplicated on the away jersey. Whereas it centers on the chest on the home shirt, the pattern is on the front, arms and collar of the away shirt.

The design hints at adidas’ overriding belief regarding their products – “from authenticity to progression.” Moreover, white is worked onto the Die Mannschaft logo. The away shirt will be complimented by white shorts and green socks. Goalkeepers will wear a blue kit.
